Saying Goodbye to Cable Internet

After more than a decade of cable business service, I’ve walked away. The cost detailed in the latest 3 year contract goes up $20 each year and that was a bit too much. After paying an outrageous monthly fee for the out of contract service, I switched to wireless and cancelled the cable service. I’m currently using a portable WiFi hotspot with unlimited bandwidth (at least I haven’t hit a limit and this business updates a lot of computers via the web). With the use of a network bridge, my wired network works just as before. The phone service here is now Ooma and the web interface is better than the one offered by the previous service. There is one other benefit. I can take the wireless internet anywhere.
